Learning & Development Programs

   For academic institutions and students

For business organizations and professionals

Brief Outline of the programs

On joining a graduate course, school pass outs are struck by their new found freedom from the uniform, enforced discipline and routine of their school. They also bring with them their strengths and weaknesses in academic competencies and behavior. This needs to be addressed in the first 90 days of the start of their program. A battery of psychometric instruments is used to help them identify the areas they need to work upon from day 1. Students are made aware that the seeds they sow in the first 90 days determine what they harvest at the end of their program. The complete life cycle, from day of joining to the day of graduation, with milestones and benchmarks, is presented to them. New student orientation modules specific to each Institution can be added to the program. This program also gives to the faculty an idea about the ‘persona’ of each student.

College to Career Transition

Career Aptitude Traction System

Most students are in a big state of confusion with respect to their identity, their aptitude and their career choices. They do not have an idea about the required mental, physical and social preparation.  Left to fend for themselves they believe what others say and get on a track that does not match with their mental make-up, aptitude and potential. Based on discussions with professional experts, academic and industry leaders, we have developed this program.  It engages participants in an appreciative dialogue with their own selves, discover the perception others have of them, identify their learning blocks and set up a development plan for personal growth that continues throughout their life. We believe that, in the real sense, education is preparation for Life itself!

Interpersonal Lab

Experiential program

It’s a truth that today business skills are as important as “People” skills. Relating to people in pleasant and accepting manner lays the foundation for building a meaningful and effective skill. it is not only important for collaborative work but also being an expert in the technical aspect management (delegating, planning, organizing and so forth) is essential in order to keep things running smoothly. But building solid relationship in an organization is also critical, because as a manager, you must rely on others to support you in achieving goals. The more you commit to developing and maintaining respect and productive relationship with others, the larger the payoff in terms of motivation,  commitment ,and support to help you building more effective relationship this sections focuses on three primary areas.
1.Improving social skill
2.Building relationship
3.Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with your manager

Coaching & Counseling Skills

Certification Master Class for final year students of Psychology/Sociology/MSW/Anthropology/ Parents/Teachers
The objective of this program is to promote social science and build upon the strengths that a student of arts and humanities develops. It familiarizes participants with important concepts for becoming a life skills facilitator and a ‘helping’ professional. The focus is on blending personal style with behavioral science for enhanced effectiveness in teaching, parenting and facilitating. Parents and Teachers get to understand common learning and development disorders and possible remedies. In general, the program strengthens awareness of Self that in turn enables understanding of Others. The program has three modules.
Module One: Introduction to behavioral science
It explores the various existing approaches and methods of behavioral science as well as other contemporary theories. It also discusses the nuances of a Counseling Relationship.
Module Two: Process of effective Teaching, Parenting and Facilitating
This module focuses on understanding the what, why, do’s and dont’s, dynamics of teaching, parenting and facilitating development.
  • How much of disciplining is enough?
  • How much of caring and giving is enough?
  • When NOT to agree to demands for gifts and party time?
  • When to counsel, when to coach, when to discipline?
Module Three: The process of nurturing
This module deals with the competencies and attributes essential for a nurturing parent and a counselor. A generic model for implementing after the course is also shared.

Leading Self, Leading Teams

A Warren Bennis Legacy Program
Clear focus and direction defines a leader. Every leader has some vision or the other. Success lies in gathering support for implementation within the organization. Some leaders get involved in execution with their teams. Others just align the energy and resources and facilitate people in achieving their goals. Which type of leader are you?
This program is based on the concepts developed by Warren Bennis who is widely regarded as the guru of leadership. Participants trace their journey of growth from being an individual contributor to a leader who gets others to contribute.
Some fundamentals of leadership like fostering the development and acceptance of a common vision, goal setting and prioritization are covered. In addition, advanced leadership competencies like making decisions with risk analysis, working with ambiguity, preventing and managing escalations and driving tasks to completion are also included.
The success of leadership is evident from the level of teamship and teamwork. To sustain in the difficult world economic situation today, more is to be done for less and productivity has to be of highest order. The leader has to ensure that there is no disruption in business, people are self motivated and customers/clients are not only satisfied but happy too.
In the program, participants get clarifications about their leadership style and their impact on others. They learn how to be pleasantly assertive and influence positively. Psychometric exercises help them develop insights and identify competencies that need sharpening for personal and career growth.

Leading Schools

A program for School Administrators
This brings the cohort of participants together to learn intensive group process, the appreciative enquiry method. By learning how to identify ‘instruction intelligence’, strengths and successes, “exceptional moments” of excellence and motivational life-enriching forces, School Administrators can create an organization that continuously searches out and builds on the highest potential of the staff members. Participants in this Workshop shall also learn how to use the 6 C Framework. This is briefly described below:
  • Defining the ‘Context’ which is defining the focus of the inquiry.
  • ‘Collaboratively’ discovering student’s learning experiences and clarifying what made those experiences.
  • Developing the ‘Competency’ to create a future based on those exceptional experiences.
  • Designing systems, structures and processes to support the execution of co-created and agreed goals in a ‘competitive’ environment.
  • Delivering ‘change’ through implementation of these co-created systems and structures by organization members.
Establishing a ‘culture’ of appreciative learning and continuous improvement through feedback loops and positive engagement.

Service Delivery

Master Class
The service sector has 40- 50% contribution to the economy of any country. It is emerging as the largest and one of the fastest-growing sectors of the global economy. This means more employment opportunities in retail trade, hotel and restaurants, travel, tourism, transport, logistics, communication, financing, insurance, real estate, business services, community, social, personal services and services associated with healthcare. Most of these need professionally trained service delivery professionals.
The course is based upon a set of generic service delivery role competencies. This is relevant for people employed in any sector that generates revenues from services. It is also relevant and useful to students of  engineering, pure science, commerce, business management, humanities like economics, psychology, sociology and anthropology. This covers a wide spectrum, from design to delivery of products, services and organizations. The program is graded into four certification levels: Associate, Expert, Master and Professional. It has a mix of behavioral and service science competencies like Client Relationship Management, Negotiating Skills, Team working and Delegation. Topics like Service Cycle, Service and Operating Level agreement, RAG Reports, Managing escalations, Delivering beyond the contract and Growing the business are addressed in detail.
Fundamentals of Project Management and Six Sigma can be added on demand with a minor additional fee.

 Patient Relationship Excellence

For Nursing & Paramedical services staff
Patient Relationship Excellence Program (PREX) is designed on the basis of recommendations at the ‘Accessibility, Accountability and Affordability of Healthcare Conference Dec 2012’. Participants revealed that several patient engagement opportunities are lost due to traditional processes and ‘casual delivery attitude’ of service providers. This has financial and legal implications. Addressing these challenges, the PREX Program was created and the design tested at two select hospitals. This is a new and enriched version of PREX.
PREX is delivered in both Hindi and day to day English. The methodology engages participants through exercises, role plays, games and videos. Participants are awarded a Certificate for each level of the program successfully completed. Faculty comprises of medical, personal growth and management specialists. The program is especially beneficial to candidates who wish to seek employment overseas or wish to enhance their preparation of the CCNS Examination.
India needs 3 million additional beds by 2020. This means that there would be a large requirement of trained human resource.

University Nurtured Enterprise Ecosystem (UNeE)

Each year the list of sick business units and start up firms grows manifold. Only a few bright ideas turn from dream to reality. One of the reasons for such failures is that it is not enough to only START UP. It is also important to SERVE. In collaboration with Institutions that assist entrepreneurs, LeadẄynn shall offer the UNeE program. This program would also assist in enriching ’employability’ of students thereby making UNeE a complete ecosystem.
This could be the first blended program of entrepreneurship and service science in India that directly addresses the need for creating more and more entrepreneurial and employment opportunities. The goal of UNeE is to create people who have deep knowledge in their chosen area of expertise, and the competence to deliver the ‘service’ associated with their special knowledge. It is a structured path from dream to delivery.
Placement data of the past years shows that most jobs were about services like Banking, Finance, Insurance, IT, Consulting and Telecom. Even Engineers took up these jobs instead of manufacturing. The manufacturing sector itself does not do well enough to offer additional opportunities. People too do not purchase products only on their technical features but more because of their service delivery capabilities. Some of the top IT companies today began with manufacturing but transitioned to services (read business solutions). They learnt how to co create with the customer.
Similarly, several pharmaceutical manufacturing companies initiated research in new methods of drug delivery and some moved into offering health care services. Healthcare is fast trending towards digitalization and wearable gadgets. Even a large  behemoth, as the Indian Railways, is not only trying to improve operations but adding new traveler comfort services like onboard internet, entertainment system, concierge services and meals of choice. For a prudent customer, service delivery is becoming the determining factor in purchase. It is this ‘servitization’ of business that UNeE offers by bringing subject specialists from social, behavioral, engineering and management on a common platform of “service innovation”. A good University would be best equipped to channel subject specialists into a new and emerging discipline of Service Science.
